| I009 Maria Josefa Gonzalez Moreno y Familia - Late 1950s This picture was taken in the late 1950s on the front porch of the Estorino Home in Guira de Macurijes, there are several of the Gonzalez Family in the picture. After the Estorino family left Cuba in 1962 (I009 Maria Josefa Gonzalez Moreno) remained living there by herself; however the government took away two thirds of the house and left her with a small section of what had been a custom built comfortable home. The other two thirds was divided in half and given to two unknown families. | ||

In the image the view is from the center of the town towards the road going to Arco Iris, Rio Blanco, Santa Rosalia and the other farms that are part of the extended family. The view just beyond the town shows the "Santa Victoria Farm" owned by the Estorino family. The spot in the center is where the Estorino home was built the year after the picture. |
