This park was a favorite of the people of Matanzas and was frequently used for parties and other social events. |
 | Bodega La Vina, Matanzas, Cuba La Vina is the grocery store purchased by my family in 1959. The store was purchased by my grandfather (I020 Antonio Jose Viera Sosa) and was jointly run by my father (I003 Enrique Pedro Perez Gonzalez) and my uncle (I022 Jose Antonio Viera Aleman). Some family members still live in the house adjacent to the store. The store is located across from the central city park called "El Parque de La Libertad". | |

 | Playa Buey Vaca, Matanzas, Cuba I found this picture while doing research on this genealogy project. It had been approximately 50 years since I had been there when I found the image, yet something about it was familiar to me. I showed it to my parents and Mom said this was the beach I took you to when you were a small boy. The beach was just outside the city and it was convenient to get to on the local bus. The beach was known as (Buey Vaquita). |
