The store was purchased by my grandfather (I020 Antonio Jose Viera Sosa) and was jointly run by my father (I003 Enrique Pedro Perez Gonzalez) and my uncle (I022 Jose Antonio Viera Aleman). Some family members still live in the house adjacent to the store. The store is located across from the central city park called "El Parque de La Libertad". |

The view just beyond the town shows the "Santa Victoria Farm" owned by the Estorino family. The spot in the center is where the Estorino home was built the year after the picture. | ||

After the Estorino family left Cuba in 1962 (I009 Maria Josefa Gonzalez Moreno) remained living there by herself; however the government took away two thirds of the house and left her with a small section of what had been a custom built comfortable home. The other two thirds was divided in half and given to two unknown families. |

It had been approximately 50 years since I had been there when I found the image, yet something about it was familiar to me. I showed it to my parents and Mom said this was the beach I took you to when you were a small boy. The beach was just outside the city and it was convenient to get to on the local bus. The beach was known as (Buey Vaquita). | ||
